Annie Jr.

I know I haven’t written in a long time, but I recently did a play called “Annie Jr. ” I met a lot of very cool people, and  most of them are now my friends. Rehearsals took 3 months, but I loved every second of it! Our director’s name was Steven Botelho. He was a very good director, and he made the play very fun for everyone. I actually did not audition for the role of Annie. I just auditioned for an orphan, but they asked me to read part of the script, and a couple nights later I got a call-back asking if I would like to audition for Annie. I said yes, and went to the call-back. All the girls who got the call back were very talented. They made Annie and Miss Hannigan go in together. The Annies had to sing “Tomorrow”, and the Miss Hannigans had to sing “Little Girls”. A couple nights later my dad was in Buffalo, NY, and I got a phone call from the producer asking if I wanted to be Annie. I was so excited! I definitely said yes!!

The first rehearsal was a lot of fun, but I was nervous because I didn’t know anybody there. We all got up and told our roles, and about us. We did some acting exercises to get us ready for the show. After that, we began rehearsing all the different scenes, but we all read from our scripts. The second rehearsal we did scene one, and we all started acting together, which was a lot of fun. By the day of the show, we knew who we could come to for help, and to run our scripts.

The first show my school came, an I was very nervous, because it was my first show. But as soon as I walked on the stage, I was absolutely fine. By the last show, we were all very sad because we had put so much effort into the play, and all the fun was over. Everyone knew there are other plays coming up, and we will see each other again soon. There was a party at Jack Astor’s to celebrate all the work we put into the play. By the end of the party, the whole cast got up and sang “Hard Knock Life”.  It was a very happy moment for everybody.

Thank you to everyone who came to the play, and to the cast who helped me get through my first show, and for all their support. But most of all I’d like to thank the director who really helped me learn all the techniques, and helped me get through it all. And my parents. My mom went to all the rehearsals and helped, and my dad who came to see every show and support me. And you guys who are reading this supporting me and my website. Thank you 🙂

Anything Goes

On Saturday, I went to go see the musical “Anything Goes” with Rachel York. She was an amazing actress and singer.  It was a lot of fun, and all the performers were really good. It was a story about people on a boat in 1934. My favorite songs from the show are DeLovely, You’re The Top, and Friendship. All the music in the show was written by Cole Porter. He is one of my favorite composers.  The play was very funny. The main character is Reno Sweeney. She is one of the funniest characters, because of her personality. It was one of the best plays I’ve seen yet. If you get a chance you should go see it too. Thanks to my grandma who bought me the tickets.

Shine Your Talent

Shine Your Talent on July 21st 2013

I had such a great time preforming at Shine Your Talent show. I sang “Let Me Be Your Star” from the TV show and musical “Smash”.  I met a lot of really cool people. There were some great singers, and great fries. Everybody was really nice, including the judges. There was a girl that played the ukelele, and I really liked her.

Singing the National Anthem on Canada Day

Hi guys. I’m so excited to tell you that I was invited to sing the National Anthem at the Canada Day celebration on Monday. There were so many people, and when I got on stage, everyone said “awww”. Before the performance, I got a hug from the mayor. The host of the show was very friendly and funny. I got off to a rough start with hearing the key of the song, but I caught up and I still sang perfectly. I would like to give a shutout to the Chinguacousy Swing Orchestra for doing such a great job. They were amazing.  It was so much fun to work with them. I had such a great time, and thank you to everyone who came out. I was very happy because I saw my friend Chloe and her mom there. After, I got to play some games and won some great prizes. It was a really great day.

Peel Music Festival – Part 1

Peel Music Festival – Part 1

Hey guys. Whats sizzlin ? I’m gonna tell you about the peel music festival. I sang the song Sayonara, from the musical How To Eat Like A Child.  I was so psyched to compete, and at the end I won 1st place. “Victory is accomplished” said the little talking villain in my brain with his evil laugh muhahahaha.  Well all the others in the competition were really good.  This time I was not the youngest one there competing.  Thank goodness. Anyway, it was so much fun and I’m glad i was a competitor.  i also got a big fat medal. It was so cool. When i got nervous (not usual for me), it just flew away.

thanks bye love you

Here I am with my First Place award and a big medal.

Center Stage

Hey guys. This is my first blog post and I will be telling you everything big that happens in my life . Guess what? In April I did a huge concert gala called Center Stage. I was the youngest kid there. Can you believe it?  It wasn’t just singers, it was dancers and actors. I shared a room with a friend of mine named Hayley, lol.  I was soooo nervous, but what the heck. When i got up to sing I was  running on the stage like a crazy person.  I guess my nerves flew away. A lot of people who love me were there.  I also wanna give a shout out to my friend Hayley Rebelo!  You are the best for supporting me, also to Ms.Bazley. You’re awesome . We all got awards at the end. It was really awesome, and  if you cant tell, I’m a singer! lol  I love you guys.  Thanks and I’ll update what i do later.
